French Press

Recipe

Ingredients:

Equipment:

4 tbs of whole coffee beans

French Press (2 Cups)

2 cups water

Coffee Grinder

Pinch of salt

Electric or Stove-Top Kettle

Stir stick or a spoon

  1. In a electric or stove top kettle heat the water to 194°F or 90°C

  2. While the water is heating up, place the whole coffee beans in a coffee grinder and grind the beans to a coarse ground.

  3. Place the ground coffee in the french press

  4. Once the water has reached temperature pour the water in to the french press

  5. Add a pinch of salt to the french press

  6. Stir the water till the coffee grounds and salt are thoroughly mixed. This is called blooming the coffee

  7. Place the lid of the french press, but do not press down the plunger

  8. Let the coffee steep for 10 minutes

  9. Carefully press the plunger down on the french press

  10. Let the french press rest for 30 seconds to a minute

  11. Serve and enjoyed
